Qatar Air Begins Abuja Flights With The First Female Boeing 787 Pilot
A week ago, Qatar Airways established its first opening flight to Abuja with Adeola Sowemimo, the first Nigerian female Boeing 787 pilot. The news was circulated when the Director-General, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri posted it on her Twitter.
It was mentioned by Qatar Airways that its operations will be a 3 weekly flights to Abuja via Lagos as it makes it the 6th new destination since the pandemic started. Qatar Airways posted a video on its Twitter page with Adeola Sowemimo in the video, she said “I can’t wait to fly this route and I look forward to welcoming you on board sooon.”
The female Nigerian pilot who began her aviation career since 2011 became the first female in Nigeria to work for Qatar Airways, the first female Nigerian to fly the Boeing 787 Dreamliner for Qatar Airways and the first Nigerian female pilot to fly the Boeing 767 airplane across the Atlantic Ocean.

It gladdens our hearts to see Nigerian pilots making moves in the aviation industry especially the female pilots and we hope to see more achievements in the nearest future.
