The Fast and Furious franchise is already on its 9th installment, which will grace the cinema screens in a few months amidst its explosive storyline which seems to have left the car enthusiast scene in “Tokyo Drift” and moved to world-saving vehicle antic which we like but some hate.

Before you start making assumptions of what the next Fast and Furious movie will be like, here are 5 reasons why Fast 9 will be a major game-changer.

Han Is Back!

Han

We saw him die in Tokyo drift, but he appeared in the trailer which means he had a window to escape the wreckage before the explosion. According to the trailer, it looks like he’s out for revenge with the “Justice for Han” tagline. Either way, it’ll be great to have laid back Han (Sung Kang) back in the fray.

Hints of Tokyo Drift in the Mix.

Sean Boswell (Lucas Black)

A trip down memory lane maybe? Asides Han’s comeback, we saw Lucas Black (Sean Boswell) in the trailer which means a major reunion coming up.

Speaking of reunions…

Doms Brother.

Jakob and Dom

John Cena joins the Fast 9 cast as Doms long lost badass ass baddie brother ‘Jakob’ and from the trailer, it looks like they’ve got some family beef going on and it looks like he’s teaming up with Cipher (Charlize Theron) who is bent on destroying dom…what’s with all the family fights though?

Could Brian Be Coming Back?

Mia in fast and furious

In the trailer, we see Mia make an appearance which could hint at the potential return of Brian (the late Paul Walker) or she’s just there to settle the family beef between Dom and Jakob.

Stunts!

Stunts in Fast 9

From the trailers, it looks like there will be an onslaught of death-defying stunts from start to finish, something we’re all too familiar with in all fast and furious movies.

So get ready to flood the cinemas when the movie is released, we need some answers!
