The Lagos Benz Meet Proved to be a Big Hit
The first of its kind in Lagos. There were so many Mercedes Benz cars on the road and it wasn’t a gathering of yahoo boys, it was a coming together of several passionate car owners who just wanted to drive and be jolly after a long hard year.
The convoy was filled with a lot of cars, some say there were over 50 cars in attendance…not your regular crop of Mercedes Benz cars though with a number of new generation Gwagons, an SL63, a very loud Brabus S760, GLEs to make you feel like they were heading to the set of another music video set, a beautiful and pretty hard to come by CLK 55 amongst many other exquisite Mercs.
The convoy was supposed to head to Eko Atlantic for some photos before heading back to the meeting point for lunch and networking…but the residents of Nigeria’s new exclusive island didn’t want the cars to drive in, we wonder why. We suspect you guys, BMW Club Nigeria…
Being the sharp people Lagos has chiseled all of its citizens into, the organizers quickly changed route and directed everyone towards Lekki, Ikoyi link bridge where they parked and spent about 40mins…a huge spectacle for people driving past.

It didn’t end there! A very loud modified Lexus RCF came into to the mix and quickly stole the show with its gnarly V8 noise driven by the organiser of Revs N Runway…he really made an entry and an exit.

It was later in the evening, we got the arrival of the 2020 Mercedes – Maybach, a massive sleek boat on wheels and a rear G65 AMG.
Overall the event went on without a hitch and it turned out to be a big success, Motown Automobiles, Supercars of Nigeria and Carcontinent really did a big one.
Here are some more photos from the event
